Nail Nurse Specialists is a home care agency that specializes in professional nail and callus trimming services for the lower extremities. Our nursing staff offers convenient in-home care to trim nails and address hard-to-reach areas, ensuring optimal foot health and comfort.

Professional Wound Care Services

We go beyond nail care. Nail Nurse Specialists also offers professional wound care services in the comfort of your own home. Our staff are trained to assess, cleanse and care for wounds on any area of the body making sure you are at the ultimate level for healing.

Do you accept insurance?

No we do not accept or bill insurance. We only accept payments directly from our clients. Routine foot care is NOT typically covered through insurance. Wound care services are normally covered by insurance however we do not bill insurance and charge a flat fee per visit.

What credentials does your staff have?

All of our clinical staff are registered (RN) or licensed (LPN) nurses with the state of NC that have been properly trained on trimming toenails and wound care. Our team are professional medical healthcare workers.

Do you remove in grown toenails?

Cutting the toenails may relieve pain from an in grown toenail. However we do not remove in grown toenails. This normally requires local anesthesia in an in-office setting. If we notice that further intervention is needed we will coordinate services with a local podiatrist.

What is included in the nail and callus trim services?

Our state board certified nursing staff provide services in the comfort of your home. The nail and callus trimming services includes:

Initial Diabetic Foot Exam (First Visit)
Warm foot soak and foot wash
Nail Trimming
Callus and Corn Trimming
Moisturizer Treatment
Education on pedal hygiene
Travel Fee (included within 30 miles of Grimesland, NC) *Additional $25 travel fee greater than 30 miles
Medical Equipment Disposal Fee

What is included in the wound care services?

Our state board certified nursing staff provide services in the comfort of your home. The wound care services includes:

Assessment of the wound(s)
Cleaning and disinfecting the wound(s)
Secondary dressings supplies for the visit
Dressing change by a nurse
Travel Fee (included within 30 miles of Grimesland, NC) *Additional $25 travel fee greater than 30 miles
Medical Equipment Disposal Fee

How long do appointments lasts?

Nail and callus trimming appointments normally take 30-60 minutes. Wound care service appointments normally take 30-60 minutes depending on the complexity of the affected area(s).

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash and online credit/debit card payments. Full payment is required at the time of service. Services will not be rendered if payment is not received in full at or before the time of service.

What if I have to reschedule an appointment?

A 24 hour notice is required to reschedule an appointment. We will reschedule the appointment within 30 days. No refunds will be given for missed appointments.
